As I mentioned in an earlier post one of my favorite things about Fall is going apple picking. The fun of apple picking lasts weeks because after picking the apples we bring home donuts, apple cider, and of course a few dozen apples. This then results in using the apples in any way we can before the go bad. Some family favorite are apple pancakes (recipe to be posted soon!), apple crisp, and apple sausage. This year though after reading a post from A Beautiful Mess, I may have to try making mini apple pie pop-tarts. They just sounded heavenly and perfect for the many apples we have left at my house!
